Principal's Message
Dear Families, Students and Community Members,
As this newsletter lands in your inbox, we have now concluded Term 3. On our last day of term students have participated and watched our first Brinbeal’s Got Talent! This event is such a great way for our students to connect with each other, and to celebrate the talents of so many of their peers.
Term 3 has been another busy term and has come to an end. A term full of events, activities and learnings.
It was fantastic to see so many parents and families at our recent Parent Teacher interviews a few weeks back. Over 80% of families attended interviews. Parents are encouraged to continue the conversations with their child about their opportunities for growth and improvement. Regardless of where each child is currently achieving there is always opportunity for further growth.
As students and families take a break from school over the next 2 weeks, it is also an opportunity for students and families to reflect. I would like to remind our students and parents about the importance of regular attendance. One day absent a fortnight equates to roughly 4 weeks of school missed across a year. 4 weeks missed of learning and social interactions. There is a strong correlation between high attendance and academic success, and I urge students to ensure that they attend school as much as possible. With progression to a new year level not far away, ensuring we have a regular high attendance gives students the best opportunity to cope with the increased demands of our curriculum.
Please remember that whilst students are on school holidays, so too are our teachers and support staff, therefore both teachers and support staff won't be responding to any family or student enquiries over the school holiday period.
I really do hope that over the end of term break, you get to spend time with your favourite people, and I am looking forward to seeing you all back on Monday 7th October.
Kind Regards,
Mr. Simon Haber
College Principal
