I can work with others to achieve our best
Working with others is an important skill because it teaches us how to engage with others respectfully. It's a great opportunity to collaborate with our peers and best use each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
Group work is an effective way of developing our social skills, solving tricky problems and communicating complex ideas. It is important that we have a positive, 'can-do' attitude to be able to contribute to a team and avoid feeling defeated when the work becomes challenging. Working with others is a crucial life skill and will reappear regularly throughout our lives.
The benefits of group work in the classroom helps us build our:
- Communication skills
- Leadership skills
- Self-assurance
- Tolerance
- Patience
- Confidence
- Perseverance.
