From the Year 2 Classroom

Wow, what a fantastic day we had on Friday to celebrate Book Week. The students had a fulfilled day, spending time with other classes and ending with many of them sharing Poems at the annual Poetry Slam.

This week, we will complete writing Narratives using wordless picture books before we begin learning to write Persuasively. When reading we will be focusing on inferring and what clues we can find in text to support what we think about the character. 

Fractions are on the agenda for the next two weeks in Mathematics where the students will explore fractions of a collection and shapes.    

Our Excursion is not far away, and we can't wait to go to Twisted Science on Wednesday 4th September. 

We wish all the Dads and important men in our lives a very Happy Father's Day for Sunday.
