Principals Report

I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all the fathers, grandfathers, and special male figures in the lives of our children on this Father's Day. I am confident that your children will make this Sunday a memorable occasion for you. Happy Father's Day! We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Book Week on Friday. The atmosphere was wonderful, and we are grateful to all parents, grandparents, and community members who joined us for the occasion. A special thank you to the staff for their dedication in promoting the importance of books and reading within our school and for organising our annual poetry slam, it is a highlight of our year. Make sure you check out our Facebook page to see wonderful photos of the event. Congratulations to our 31 students who are preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and attended the presentation mass over the past weekend. It is wonderful to witness their enthusiasm in receiving this Sacrament, and we are deeply appreciative of the support provided by their families. I look forward to celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation with all of you on Wednesday, September 4th.

I would like to extend my thanks to Casey Parker and her team of dedicated parents for their efforts in organising our Father's Day stall. We know this has required a significant investment of your time; however, it was wonderful to hear the chatter and laughter in our staff room during your preparations. Thank you everyone for your ongoing support.

Next week, we will be celebrating Learner Support Staff Appreciation Week. We are fortunate to have an outstanding team of Learning Support Officers who play a vital role in addressing our students' unique learning and well-being needs. Added to this, they also bring a wonderful sense of fun and joy to our school community. We extend our thanks to Lisa, Karen, Paige, Michelle, Mel, Katrina, Emma, Madonna, Kellie, Danni, Olivia, and Lewis. We appreciate your dedication and the value you bring to our wonderful school. Thank you for all that you do.

A reminder to all parents who received a link to our ORIMA survey, which gathers data informing us on the strengths of our school culture and opportunities for future improvement from a parental perspective. I would be most grateful if you could complete the survey.

A reminder that Monday, October 7th, will be a pupil-free day in preparation for our upcoming school review, which will occur from October 8th to 10th.

Have a wonderful week
