At Sacred Heart Primary School we understand that supporting your child's wellbeing is a top priority. Our school is committed to working closely with parents and carers to create a nurturing environment for all students. We offer a range of support services and resources to help you navigate the challenges of parenting and to ensure your child thrives. R U OK Day

R U OK? Day is coming up on Thursday the 12th of September 2024. It is our National Day of Action and provides an ideal opportunity to engage our students, children, families and the wider school community with the values of R U OK?

We all have a role to play in looking out for those we care about at home, school, work or in our community. Ask, 'are you OK?' Because a conversation could change a life.

PBIS

Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Your Best.

Over the last two weeks our PBIS blitz has focused on recognising and standing up to bullying behaviour.

Here, at Sacred Heart, we believe that everyone has the right to be treated with respect and to feel safe on the way to school, at school and on their way home.

Our fortnightly blitz is:

“Say NO to BULLIES and don't watch on. Step in if you can, coz BULLYING is wrong”.

We work closely with The Resilience Project to support the well-being of our school community. The Resilience Project delivers emotionally engaging programs and provides evidence-based, practical strategies to build resilience.

Part 6: Vulnerability

In the final part of The Resilience Project's digital series, Hugh talks about vulnerability.

Often vulnerability is seen as a weakness, but Hugh explains how you can use it as a strength. Opening up and talking about how you are feeling when you’re potentially not feeling okay takes courage, especially in the perfectionist society we live in today.

Hugh shares how opening up and being vulnerable about the way he was feeling during the pandemic gave him the feeling of relief, humility and then curiosity to work through what he was going through. He encourages you to see vulnerability as a strength and model being vulnerable to your children.
