Out and About
Hands On Trades Expo
The Hands on Trades Expo was a great opportunity for students to try out a range of different trades. Students had an early start on Thursday last week, to get on the road to Winton where they met with representatives from local industries, employers and educational facilities. Industries included: childcare, health, IT, renewable energy, armed forces, robotics along with most other trades. The aim was to help students decide on the initial career choices and think about training needs to achieve that pathway.
VCE Outdoor and Environmental Education
These students were lucky enough to squeeze in a skills session last week. On a foggy and drizzly day in the mountains, Mr Comerford ran cross country ski drills, and fun relays to help students re-familiarise themselves with the equipment and skiing ahead of their overnight camp. The camp has been modified to a day trip due to forecasted poor weather and snow conditions (a report on this will appear in a future newsletter).
Downhill Ski Day 4
The season is hanging in there, providing fair conditions for students to master the skill of skiing or snowboarding.
