The School of Play

While the students had enjoyable sessions with Dale Sidebottom from The School of Play, the staff also had an engaging session in their meeting time after school. This session not only supported the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) processes, but also added to the work staff have been doing in Tracey Ezard’s “The Buzz”, where we've talked about what it takes to be a thriving professional learning community. Staff need to be willing to move out of the comfort zone and into the learning zone, and the whole School of Play session was about using fun to carefully create a safe environment so that being in the learning zone is much easier.

Parent / Caregiver Opinion Survey

The DET survey is open again and the data collected gives us an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. Currently, there have been no further responses recorded, with only 23 out of 120 (19%) people completing the survey. It would be great to see the number of responses increase.

Recruitment

While we are fully staffed for all classes currently, we are still seeking some extra staff to fill other roles within the school. Please feel free to share this information with any suitable applicants.
