AFL Goulburn Murray and AFL Victoria are excited to partner to present this fantastic opportunity for kids in the region.

The introduction of the Junior Football – Unders Competition will continue to play an integral role in addressing the challenges participants and their parents face around the uncertainty of what community football is and who their connection club would be.

The Junior Football - Unders Competition aims to closely align Auskick participants to their closest league and affiliated junior clubs by facilitating a small competition post Auskick season that looks to establish the following:

• Play modified matches that are aligned to the participation framework.
• Participants represent the affiliated junior club by wearing the appropriate club jumpers.
• Parents are engaged with the league and clubs to provide education on community football and establish a connection which could lead to opportunities for more volunteers/coaches.

AFL Victoria recommends the following structure be implemented at any Junior Football - Under’s Competitions: 

Participants aged Age Eligibility: Turning 7,8,9 in 2025

Ground size – 40m x 30m. Oval shape  

• Modifications – no tackling 
• Team size – 6 to 9 a side 
• Cost – Free to participants
