Our recent Career Expo was well attended by RTOS - all of whom were very impressed with our students, their attendance and engagement, and our facilities.
It was a great success and married well with the Nazareth College subject area displays which looked bright, colourful, and interesting (well done Faculties!)
It was a huge endeavour with months in the planning. The night could not have been possible without the assistance and dedication of so many. A HUGE thank you must be extended to the following people:
- Helene Diamantopoulos, Julie Carlin, Tamara Maguire and Jo Rogers for the creation of the Year 10 Goody bags and the endless admin documents.
- Julie was also instrumental on the day with catering help and last minute running around (what would I do without her?).
- Heads of House for distributing the goody bags on the night.
- Pastoral teacher and classroom teachers for encouraging attendance.
- Claire and Justin for assistance packing up.
- Tam Hoang and Nardine Gerges were our Year 10 ambassadors helping our presenters to sign in and directing them so beautifully.
- Tom and the Facilities team for all their work in the planning, set up and pack up.
- But the stars of the night were Renee Brash and Nikolas Grech (Year 10) who were AMAZING in not only setting up all day (multiple areas), but were on hand all night also - operating the lift, fixing things, running around for last minute requests by all staff (not just me) and staying to the bitter end - what a long, long day for them! Nothing was too much trouble and all was done with a smile on their faces. OUTSTANDING!
Special mention must go to Caitlin Mackay for always putting her hand up and is our rock – she is an endless source of support, help and laughter. And to Barb Murphy for accommodating our every need inside the daily org office and out. Thank you Cait and Barb. You are National Treasures.
