Ag Plot Visit

As a part of the Science unit "Living off the Land", students in Years 5 and 6 visited the Ag plot. We were looking at the different layers of soil and how this may affect how plants and crops grow in different soil types. Thanks to Mrs Upjohn and the Academy Primary Industries class for helping us to understand the difference between loamy, sandy and clay soil.

Olympics

Years 5 and 6 have been busy researching Australian athletes who were participating in the Paris Olympic Games. They created colourful posters full of information on their chosen athlete.

Art Competition

Well done to Middle School Elective students Noah and Dylan whose drawings have been entered in the Frost Over Barraba Art Competition. Students looked at Australian animals and made works based on ways they adapt to their environment. The theme of Dylan's second work was the upcoming Lunar Year of the Snake.
