We do require many jerseys to be provided to our Athletic representatives which is fast approaching. Thank you for your cooperation with this.

Representative Sporting Opportunities 2024-2025

Our current Year 4 and 5 students are approaching the SCS Representative Sporting Calendar Year. Registrations to be part of the trial process to attend trials will close on Friday 20th September. Please have a thorough read of the document attached if you believe it relevant to your child.

We understand that some sports explained in this attachment may not have an A grade or Representative Division outside of school but if you believe your child is talented, confident and resilient to be considered please fill out the form.

Interschool Sport

Tri Tag Rugby

Our Year 5 grade is the last to participate in the SCS interschool gala day on Tri Tag Rugby. Please watch this  2 minute video which provides you with an overview on how to play. Students will watch this video in class and discuss the rules before attending their allocated gala day.

Please take note that there will be NO LEVEL 1 Stage 3 team for Tri Tag Rugby. There are no progressions for this particular sport.

Why Tri Tag Rugby?

  • Tri Tag Rugby has been specifically designed to complement Rugby’s core fifteen-a-side and seven-a-side formats and provide a softer introduction to the game while still prioritising participant skill development and understanding of Rugby.
  • Not only does Tri Tag Rugby give participants greater flexibility throughout their rugby journey, but also provides a great way for clubs to broaden their participation base and increase retention, as neither age nor physical contact are barriers to entry.
  • Press play on this 3 minute video to view the impact that Tri Tag Rugby has had on Gulargambone Rugby Club.

League Tag Progressions to Conference 3 Championships

We recently received the exciting news that both our Level 1 boys and girls teams have progressed to the Conference 3 League Tag Championships on Wednesday 23rd October. A Compass Event will shortly be created to seek consent and share all details for this event.

SPORT CODE OF CONDUCT

We have also had some Gala days which are currently being reviewed going forward as there is a lot of participation in Sydney Catholic Schools Gala Days and some independently run days may not be feasible moving forward. It is important to speak to your child around the Code of Conduct at these days as it is a privilege to be there. Students who do not abide by the Code of Conduct will not be able to attend these events.
