Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

It is with great sadness that I write my final Newsletter as a Principal for St Patrick's Sutherland. The end came very quickly and surprisingly with a complication with my health. I would like to thank you  for the past three years which have been very challenging but this community has supported me with love and prayers.

As I look back on the past, it is great to see the community spirit that has grown. The colour run last week was a great exhibition of the fun and involvement of the community for everyone to come together for the children to make St Patrick's a great place to be. These are the days children remember in their school life and I thank all those who made that day possible.

St Patrick's is a great school with wonderful students and parents and I thank you for that gift as I leave to focus on health and recovery and a slower pace of life. I have enjoyed the past 3 years and the people I have met along the way. I want to thank the staff  who have supported me and work tirelessly to ensure the children of St Patrick's receive the love, care and education of the highest standard.

I wish you all the best for the future and thank you again for your love and support.

Regards

Leonie Burfield

Principal

FROM MRS McKENZIE:

Thank you so much for welcoming me last week and I am looking forward to contributing to the St Patrick’s community during Term 4.

The Colour Run on Friday was amazing and you could tell a lot of organising went on behind the scenes. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this amazing event!

I hope the remainder of Term 3 is not too hectic and you can participate in the Twilight Centenary Fete celebrations this week.
