NSWCCC Netball Excursion

This week, the OCC Netballers travelled down to Penrith, Sydney to participate in the NSWCCC Netball Championships. The NSWCCC Netball Championships, is an annual Netball competition and the event brings together teams from various Catholic colleges across the state to compete in Netball. The tournament serves as a platform for showcasing and developing Netball talent among students and fosters sportsmanship and team spirit. 

The girls were so excited to arrive at what they called a 'bougie' hotel and were keen to explore the Panthers area. The day of Netball called for a very early start in temperatures that us Armadilians are not used to! 

The competition was fierce, but our combined Year 7/8 team made a strong impression, securing 4th place in their division. Their dedication and hard work throughout the tournament were truly commendable, and they should be immensely proud of their achievements. 

Our combined Year 9/10 team also showcased their talents, finishing in 6th place. The team displayed resilience and determination throughout the event, and their ranking reflects their competitive spirit and the high level of play they brought to each match.

Both teams travelled from Armidale to Sydney with great enthusiasm and returned with valuable experience and some great memories. The championships provided an excellent opportunity for our students to compete at a higher level, meet peers from other schools, and grow both individually and as teams.

Congratulations to all players  for their outstanding efforts and dedication. Their achievements at the NSWCCC Netball Championships are a proud moment for our school community and we look forward to seeing their continued growth and success in the future. A huge thank you must also go to Mrs Eastlake for coming along and sharing in such a great trip! We appreciate all your hard work!

Futsal

Well done to Benjamin and Daniel Faria who are currently in Taiwan playing for Australia in Futsal against other junior teams. What an amazing opportunity for both boys!

Gymnastics

Congratulations to Poppy Stace who competed in the Gymnastics NSW Women's Artistic Gymnastics State Championships over the weekend. Well done Poppy on all your hard work!
