Dear Parents,
At St. Francis Xavier, we aim to provide the best educational and social experience for all our students. Statistics show that pupils with good attendance achieve higher attainment in school, and studies indicate that students with attendance above 96% make better progress both socially and academically. Conversely, students with lower attendance levels may experience gaps in their sequential knowledge. Therefore, for all students, both attendance and punctuality are crucial.
The table below shows how much school time is missed with regular absences. It is surprising how quickly this adds up.
If you are planning extended travel during the school year, please obtain an ‘Application for Extended Leave’ form from the school office and submit it to the Principal for approval before travelling.
If your child is absent from school for whatever reason this to be logged in Compass.
We appreciate your ongoing support in ensuring your child’s regular attendance. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and commitment to your child’s education.
Warm regards,
Ms Nellie Girgenti
