Last week in Culture Studies, students learnt about the Turkish cuisine. To inspire the students, they had the opportunity to look and discuss at all the photos of the beautiful Turkish foods that Miss Simos ate while she travelled around TΓΌrkiye. Students were then able to taste the experience of some Turkish foods, Pride Turkish bread, Hummus Dip and Traditional Turkish delight. It was wonderful to see students having a go and enjoying the foods. Some students wanted to ask their parents to buy these foods, which was wonderful to hear. We also discussed the superstition of the evil eye; students were able to answer a quick quiz on all the things that they have learnt about TΓΌrkiye. This allowed them to be able to paste the Turkish stamp in their passport. I would also like to thank wonderful Zehra, for sharing her TΓΌrkiye artefacts and knowledge with me and the students and for organising and getting the Turkish food for the students. Thank you, thank you, thank you.Β π

Book Week was a huge success.Β
Every recess, library leaders read picture story books in the library for other students to listen to. Thank you so much to everyone who helped with this, and who came along to enjoy.
We also all had so much fun at the Dress Up day last Thursday. There were some amazing costumes and characters, and it was amazing how everybody embraced the day.
