Public transport Route 86 High St- Have your say

The Department of Transport and Planning is looking at ways to make tram travel along Route 86 in Thornbury and Northcote, easier, safer and more accessible.

This project is changing the way we plan tram stop upgrades to support more inclusive and equitable access to tram travel for more passengers.

Upgrading tram stops can change the layout of the street and how we move in the area. High Street’s busy road environment can create challenges with competing priorities impacting on peoples’ safety and experience of the street.

That’s why we want to hear what’s important for you, your community and network. Feedback will help the project team develop tram stop and street improvement options.

We’re seeking feedback from now until 15 October via Engage Victoria: High Street, Thornbury and Northcote corridor

Attached to this email is a media pack with key messages, consultation activity dates social media tiles and posters to use. We encourage you to share this with your network.

The new tram corridor approach is a key element of the Department of Transport and Planning’s Melbourne Tram Plan, released recently, that outlines how a tram network will be delivered that puts passengers first, connects people to the places they want to go and is accessible to more people.

If you have any questions, please email community@transport.vic.gov.au.

Yours sincerely,
