Winter Appeal

Our Winter Appeal is running until 31 August. This is an opportunity to come together and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those facing financial instability in our community. The rising cost of living has placed a heavy burden on many families, making it increasingly difficult for them to afford basic food staples. This is where our collective efforts can truly shine. By donating non-perishable food items, sanitary and cleaning products, we can alleviate some of the stress that comes with financial instability.

Why non-perishable food items?

Non-perishable food items hold a special place in this appeal for a reason. These items have a longer shelf life, which makes them perfect for stocking pantries and providing sustenance over an extended period. This means that our donations can continue to benefit families throughout the winter and beyond.

Why sanitary and cleaning products?

Sanitary products, such as feminine hygiene items, are not a luxury; they are a necessity. Yet, due to financial constraints, these products are sometimes the first to be sacrificed, leading to potential health risks and discomfort. Similarly, cleaning products are vital for maintaining a safe and healthy living environment, especially during the winter when the spread of illness is more common.

How you can contribute

Your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a difference. Here's how you can get involved in our Winter Appeal:

Donate: Visit our collection points (details provided below) and drop off non-perishable food items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, and more. Every donation counts and brings us closer to our goal.

Spread the word: Share our appeal with friends, family, and colleagues. Together, we can amplify our impact and reach more individuals who might be willing to contribute.

Collection point: The Hood

Thank you for being a part of our mission to support our local community during this winter season. Together, we can make a real difference.

The Pantry

The Pantry provides practical support to families and individuals facing hardship. Complimentary food and care parcels containing fresh produce, pantry staples, pre-made meals, household and personal care items are available to those needing assistance.

Youth Engagement

Our support of local schools takes on many forms. We believe that it’s vital to serve and connect with all aspects of the school community. This includes supporting students, teachers and staff, parents and families.
