First Eucharist is considered one of the holiest and most important occasions in a Catholic's life. It means that a person has received the Sacrament of the Eucharist for the first time.
The word ‘communion’ means to be united with and we believe that in Holy Communion we are united in a special way with Jesus Christ.
This weekend at the Sacred Heart Church at 10am, we have our final group of Year 4 students receive Jesus for the first time. As they celebrate this very special sacrament, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Good luck our Year 4 students who will be making this First Eucharist this weekend:
Sadie Greaves
Sadie Di Clemente
Lenny Greenham
Xavier Wood
Rhiannon Flower
Georgia Watson
Each term, each class holds a Learning Showcase. It is a way for students to demonstrate what they have learned, showcase their skills, and share their inquiries with their family and friends.
The Learning Showcase provides students with an opportunity to take ownership of their learning, boost their confidence, improve their communication skills, and foster a sense of pride in their accomplishments. It also allows parents to gain insights into the students' progress, achievements and the learning environment.
This week the Year 5, Year 6 and Prep students showcased their work:
We invite our families and friends to join us for the remainder of the Learning Showcases.
Please see the flyer for dates and times.

It was great to see families attend our first Connecting Learning to Home: Maths Afternoon. In each year level across the school the students were engaged in maths games with resources such as dice or cards. Maths games, such as these are a great way to reinforce and practice maths concepts, skills and reasoning in a fun and interactive way.
