Lalor East Students Shine at Hoop Time Basketball Competition

Last Friday, a group of 19 energetic students from Lalor East ventured out to represent our school in the esteemed Hoop Time basketball competition, held for all schools in the Lalor District. While the day was packed with rigorous challenges as our team battled against various schools, it was evident that Lalor East brought something special to the court.

Though the scoreboard might not reflect an overwhelming number of victories, it’s important to remember that success isn’t only determined by the points earned in a game. What truly stood out was the impeccable sportsmanship, camaraderie, and unwavering spirit that our students showcased throughout each match. From supporting teammates to respecting opponents and referees, our Lalor East champions truly embodied the values we hold dear.

It's always inspiring to see young individuals approach competitions with grace and enthusiasm, prioritizing fair play over mere victory. As a school community, we are immensely proud of each participant for displaying resilience, determination, and integrity. These are qualities that not only make a great athlete but also a commendable individual off the court.

We would like to extend our appreciation to all the students, parents and staff who were involved in this excursion. Your dedication and effort, both in the preparations and during the event, have made a lasting impression.
