Grade 1 Students 

English   

To finish up our busy term of learning the Grade 1s have gone back over some of the writing we already knew. We wrote recounts about our amazing production night, and then persuaded people with our strong language on who is the best footy team (it’s the Demons!). 

Maths 

We have been learning about chance, and describing the probability of events using the language of certain, likely, unlikely and impossible. We have also kept up our number skills with some new games.  

Wellbeing   

In Respectful Relationship, we have been learning about help-seeking; considering ways to ask for help, who can help us and who we can help. With the support of 'The Resilience Project', we have practised gratitude, sharing some of the things we are grateful for, like friends, family, warm weather, holidays and chocolate covered pretzels.
