Gabby Seymour - AFLW Richmond

A huge thank you to Gabby Seymour from AFLW Richmond for coming to Monty Primary last Thursday for a session with our year 5/6 students. Gabby spoke to us about her journey into the AFLW, her schedule and work/footy life balance. We then headed outside to learn and practise some skills.

Division Athletics

Even after a huge week with production we headed off to Division Athletics last Thursday. 13 students from Monty Primary qualified and we are so incredibly proud of each of them. 

CONGRATULATIONS to the following three students who made it through to REGIONALS, WOW! What an incredible effort. You have done yourself and your school community so proud.

Tess I – 800m and 1500m long distance legend

A huge congratulations to Archie M, Ryleigh, Henry, Fynn, Harry, Luca, Ana, Esha and Charli for making it this far and giving it your all on the day. Mrs Costa is so proud of all of you!

SEDA Clinic

Last Monday we had AFL SEDA Victoria/Collingwood Football Club come in to run a footy clinic with our students. We had such a fun day celebrating all things AFL! We were able to use the skills we have learnt and really apply them to drills, skills, fitness and games. Thank you to Tom and the SEDA students for making it such a great clinic in the lead up to our Footy Day!

Skills & Games

To finish off our final week of Term 3 in P.E Mrs Costa organised a range of skilful yet fun games in the sunshine. Here are the games we played below. We voted on the favourite and starwards tag took the top spot!
