MUFFINS

As part of the Arts and Design week in July a muffin cooking competition took place today (Tuesday the 25th of July) in the Food & Technology kitchen. 

Students were required to complete an online application form to be selected. On the entry form students were required to upload 2 muffin recipes that they would potentially like to cook, one sweet and one savoury. If selected to participate, students baked one of the muffin recipes. Contestants worked on their own to prepare their products.

Art and Design Teachers Rhys Morgan and Irene Treadwell came along to towards the end of the event to do a blind tasting of the muffins to judge the winners of the competition.

The winner of the sweet muffins was Chloe  (7A) with her White Chocolate and Cranberry Muffin recipe.

The winner of the savoury muffins was James  (8B) with his Chorizo, Corn and Chilli Muffin recipe.

A huge thank-you to Rhys and Irene for being such wonderful judges and tasting all the muffins! 

Congratulations to Chloe and James for being the successful with their baking. Well done to all students who participated!!
