Hands On Learning

It has been a productive year in Hands on Learning with this year’s cohort building on the great work of the past. The Hub is nearing completion and garden starting to bloom, I’m sure we will be reaping the fruits of our labour for many years to come.
I wanted the students to take home a reminder of their time in Hands on Learning as they leave their own legacy for the future. It seemed fitting to build a toolbox out of old shipping pallets. This is a great project for anyone to tackle as if mistakes are made then it can be used to start a fire. One could say you can’t go wrong. With that I was surprised at how efficient the crew were completing their task, using the power tools like pros. The fact the students had so much fun with this project I found myself laughing a giggling with them, like a child.
Today at Handson Learning, Lachie, Kaylee and Winter finished and built toolboxes. Today Amber was not at school so Winter took her place and made atool box herself. For lunch I cooked chicken kababs and they were awesome. After that we painter the toolboxes, Lachie and I made a giant mess with the paint. It was so fun. Kayden
Today at Hands on Learning we had to build toolboxes, but Amber had to go home cause she hurt her wrist, so Winter filled in for her. Lachie was away last time so he didn’t get to make a toolbox, but today he made one with Winter. Then we had a little chat , then got to work. For lunch we had honey soy chicken, After lunch it was splotch, splatch, splotch as we started to paint. We also went outside and flicked the paint onto the toolboxes. Overall the day was pretty great. Winter and Kaylee.
Today in Hands on Learning we had Kayden, Winter, Kaylee and I, we made toolboxes. It was so cool to see them being made. We painter after we had finished, I painted mine in black and blue and then splatted it with a lot of paint. For lunch Kayden made kababs and they were so good. I had the best day. Lachlan.
