Inquiry Expo
After conducting research, our students are busily designing and creating a products to sell as a part of our Inquiry Bizaare Bazaar market. They have been asked to create a product at school to sell at a mock market to be held on Friday, 6th December between 2:30 and 3pm. Our families are welcome to come at this time and see this bazaar!
Following our research, we found that our younger students want to buy (with pretend money) a toy, game or beauty product. They would be more willing to buy if they walk away with a lolly and they want to walk away with 3 or 4 things.
Please note from this research, this is what we have told our students:
Everyone will get one stall (about the size of the green square in your room 5x5 carpet squares)
At school they are creating a persuasive poster using at least five tricks that will be displayed on their stall to sell their product and maybe a television ad (if we have time)
Students need to incorporate as much recycling as they can to make their product (please no glass, no tins). We do not want families to buy products, we are asking students to be creative in their ideas and designs.
Students will need to make multiple products to sell on the day – how many? That is up to the individual student. We are recommending at least 4 or 5 products that are nearly identical.
Students can only have one product to sell on the day – one toy, one game or one beauty product – to be fair (eg they can’t have minigolf and a racetrack) but they will sell multiple of this one product
Any lollies that are given away with the stall are at our families discretion. Please know we are not telling students they have to have lollies or families have to buy these. This is up to the student and family to decide.
Please feel free to contact classroom teachers if you have any questions.
Christmas Raffle
A reminder to our families to return our Annual Christmas Raffle tickets (this was sent home with students on Tuesday afternoon) once they are sold. There are 10 x $1 tickets to sell and students are asked also to make a donation towards our class theme to be raffled. Grade 5 students are asked to donate something chocolate or sweet and Grade 6 students are asked to donate a sports or active item. All monies raised goes towards our amazing school so we appreciate all of your support.
T20 Cricket
On the 8/11/2024 we had school cricket in Moama. We had two girls teams and one boys team. The boys won two games, Mrs.Holyman’s team didn’t win any, but they did very well and John’s team won all their games including the grand final! They are now off to Swan Hill for the next stage. Everyone represented the school really well, and Asha got the best catch of the day.

On Friday we went to cricket. We got there early in the morning and I was on the boys team. We started off losing the first two games but we were playing really good, hitting heaps of runs but just were unlucky. The 3rd game we started of really well, then when we were batting we played so good. Phoenix hit around 40 runs and we were all hitting 6’s. We ended up winning and we got to play a final. We went into the final with heaps of confidence. We started bowling and we were bowling really strong. Then after we were bowling we were batting and our batting was fantastic! We hit 4’s and heaps of 6’s. We won by a fair bit and ended up winning that final. We didn’t get to play in the grand final but had a great day.

Senior Citizens
On Thursday, Kaylee, Taila, Hannah and I went to Senior Citizens to help out with lunch and dessert. We made coffee and tea for the people who requested it before serving lunch. They had meatballs, veggies and mashed potatoes. This was followed by a delicious dessert. They had raspberry cheesecake and a scoop of ice-cream. Oh sugar, it is time for bingo and for us to go but first we have to get some honey from Bill. We love Bill’s honey. Then we had to stop to talk to Wendy, whoops we forgot to get all of the dishes. It looks like we get to stay longer, but oh well. It's now 12:20 and we are off back to school where I am doing the write up that you are reading now and hopefully enjoying. So, you see that is how it is when we go to Senior Citizens. We love going every week and we look forward to it every day. Thanks to Bill who gives us the amazing honey that we all love, and we can’t forget Evelyn as she gives us gifts every time we go. Finally last but not least we can’t forget Mrs Pearce who is amazing for for taking us every week.
