Cyber Safety/STEM
In the newsletter, I am often talking about reducing screen time and delaying phones for students but I also want to bring awareness to safer platforms if parents and students are accessing content online. You may have heard about the dangers of TikTok or YouTube so I want to share a safer platform that we use at school which is accessible at home.
ClickView features Australia content classifications to help ensure students are accessing age-appropriate materials. So parents if you are ever at home thinking about a safe way to find resources to help with your child’s learning or a safe platform rather than YouTube for your child to download or watch something online, remember ClickView.
You can go to clickview.net on any browser or download the ClickView app. Sign in using your child’s school login details. E.g 1111@smechuca.catholic.edu.au. Then browse over thousands of educational videos.
If you have any questions about this feel free to reach out to your classroom teacher or email srichardson@smechuca.catholic.edu.au
Also a quick shout out to these winners of our alternative lunch STEM challenge last Thursday. They did a terrific job working together to try to make the tallest tower they could using reusable coffee cups.
