Maths Talent Quest

Miss Sarah

This year, we had thirty-six students from Year 4-6 participate in the Maths Talent Quest, organised by the Maths Association of Victoria. Students selected their own investigation topic based on their personal learning interests and applied mathematics in the context of their investigation. This gave them the opportunity to understand and discover how mathematics is used and found in the world around them. We are immensely proud of their hard work and achievement in completing the project.

Outstanding achievements

Special shout outs go to the following students:

  • Jun & Timothy from Year 5 - High Distinction award for their project: ‘Is it possible to make a whole NBA season on the moon?’

  • Nathan from Year 4 - Distinction award for his project: ‘Designing and costing my dream bedroom’
  • Charlotte & Anna from Year 5 - Distinction award for their project: ‘The cost of fast fashion’.
