Secondary Sub School News

Dear Secondary Team,

 

Week 8 already—time really flies. It was wonderful to see the first group of secondary students gearing up for their camp experience, especially with such a supportive team joining them. I’m sure it will be a memorable time filled with learning, adventure, and bonding. As you head toward the final weeks, I can imagine there's a mix of anticipation and reflection on all that’s been accomplished this year.

 

Camp 1: November 25th - 27th.

Staff attending: Ashley S, Gurminder, and Elizabeth 

 

Camp 2: December 4th - 27th.

Staff attending: Bill, Elian, John and Cathie 

 

Awards:

Please ensure that all rewards are completed as soon as possible so we can present each student with their award on Monday, December 2nd. A special timetable will be sent out shortly with the specific times for each class.

 

Graduation Speeches: 

If you haven’t already done so, please forward the Year 12 Graduation speeches to me for approval at your earliest convenience.

 

Reporting:

A big congratulations to everyone who has made a fantastic start on their reports! It's great to see the effort and dedication you're putting into this task. As we approach the final weeks of the term, I just want to send out a friendly reminder that all reports are due by December 9th. 

 

Classroom Team Meetings:

Please continue to meet and work on the Students Profiles. These profiles should be uploaded to Xuno once completed.

 

PDP Reflections: 

As we approach the end of the year, take some time to reflect on your goals and the progress you’ve made. You will have an opportunity to discuss your reflections with your allocated leader, focusing on the successes you’ve experienced so far.

 

Here are some key dates to remember, I am sure I have missed a few but will add to these as the term goes on. 

  • SSG meetings: Please make sure all meeting times are scheduled and that you have the necessary data and goals prepared for discussions with parents. This is an important opportunity to ensure we continue providing support for our students.
  • Group 1 Camp. (Leaving 25/11/24 Back on the 27/11/24)
  • Group 2 Camp (Leaving 04/12/24 Back on the 06/12/24)
  • Year12 Graduation - 6/12/24
  • Curriculum Day – 13th December
  • Last Day of School – 20th December: Students finish at 1:00 pm
