Leadership Camp

The Student Leadership Outdoor Adventure Camp held at Rubicon Outdoor School was an opportunity for students to build leadership qualities and to improve student connections. There was a focus on building resilience in the students, developing relationships and working collaboratively in a variety of team roles. Please enjoy a couple of student perspectives:

Leadership camp was amazing! We did so many fun activities like rafting, hiking, mountain biking and canoeing. My favourite activity was definitely the hike, as we got to do a bit of rock climbing, abseiling and we got to walk through a cave! The Halloween night was also one of my highlights. I learnt so much and made new friends! The food is amazing and all the staff at Rubicon are so kind. If you are thinking about going next year, or years after that, I highly encourage you to apply!

Camp was fun we did things like: 

• Hiking  
• White water rafting  
• Bike riding 
• Mountain climbing 
• mountain carving  

We also had a Halloween night where we had a scavenger hunt and a campfire and roosted marshmallows. On the last day my group made pancakes. 

Leadership camp is all about the school vales compassion, community and curiosity, teamwork and becoming a leader. I recommend to those who are in years 7-10 and who want to have a chance to become a leader.
