Careers High Tea Inspires our Year 12 Students
Our recent Careers High Tea event was a huge success, giving our Year 12 students the opportunity to connect with Chisholm alumni who are now industry professionals and gain valuable insights into potential career paths.
We were delighted to welcome back six inspiring alumnae: Chantelle Al Khouri (Journalism), Ava Musumeci (Real Estate), Blaire Marchand (Interior Design), Isabella La Malfa (Exercise Science), Corinne Duffy (Marketing), and Alana Blowers (Nursing). Through a keynote address, a panel discussion, and breakout sessions, students had the opportunity to engage meaningfully with these accomplished role models, who shared candid insights from their journeys to success. Be sure to keep an eye out for a feature from the day in an upcoming issue of The Western Weekender.
HSC Peer Mentoring Program Launch
This term, we have launched the HSC Peer Mentoring Program, connecting current students with recent graduates from CCC for support and guidance on exams, study strategies, and even university applications! Our mentors are passionate about learning and inspiring others students to succeed within the specific context of our College. They remain very much a part of our community and their dedicated approach reflects their ongoing commitment and connection to our Caroline Chisholm community.
In response to working with the students our mentors shared:
‘It’s been amazing to see the senior students at CCC approach their studies with curiosity and excitement, and it’s fulfilling to share my experience and knowledge with them!’ - Louise Armstrong
‘A conversation with a mentor really does put it all into perspective. Throughout high school, I remember taking full advantage of opportunities to talk with senior students and alumnae. Now, I am excited to offer ongoing guidance to help students reach their long-term academic goals.’ - Aalia Nasser
‘I have so far enjoyed the opportunity to be a peer tutor as it allows me to stay connected to the College community. I believe the program is valuable in providing some additional support to the girls, whether that be regarding study skills, content or how best to answer exam style questions.’ - Courtney Hamilton
‘I am so excited to be a part of the peer mentoring program. Coming from someone who has already completed the HSC, this tutoring program is incredibly valuable for students as we can give the students insights into how to study for certain subjects, answer questions, practically help them throughout their studies, and provide them with perspective on the HSC and life post year 12.’ - Evelyn Shanley
The Year 12 graduating class of 2025 are truly Stepping Up and Embracing the Sprint as they practically work towards achieving their academic goals and career ambitions.
