The Imperfects Podcast

Perfectly Imperfect

‘The Inspired Unemployed’ began when a couple of tradies, Jack Steele and Matt ‘Falcon’ Ford, began an Instagram to catalogue the skits they were writing and filming overseas.

Since then, Jack and Falcon have launched Australia’s fastest selling beer, collaborated with Fendi and Louis Vuitton, have 2 million followers on Instagram, launched a podcast exclusive to Spotify AND star in their own TV show The Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers. Life, from the outside, seems pretty much perfect.

In this Vulnerabilitea House we chat with Jack Steele about his fear of losing relevance. Extremely generous in his vulnerability, Jack opens up about his terrifying panic attacks, anxiety over not being productive; his ADHD diagnosis; and what it’s like to live and work with your best mate, while still trying to be, well, best mates.

Jack, we’re in love with you.

PBIS

Our new PBIS blitz for week 6 and 7 will be ‘Bounce Back, Be Resilient’

What does it mean to be Resilient?

Resilient people are aware of situations, their own emotional reactions, and the behavior of those around them. ...

Another characteristic of resilience is the understanding that life is full of challenges. While we cannot avoid many of these problems, we can remain open, flexible, and willing to adapt to change.

Here is a small clip about being resilient.

Being resilient and being able to bounce back means that when things go wrong, resilience is what helps you to cope and get through hard times. Sometimes it makes you even stronger than you were before.

Student:

We can be resilient by:

  • Bouncing back after difficult times
  • Dealing with challenges and still holding your head up
  • Giving things a go or trying your best
  • Being strong on the inside
  • Standing up for yourself

Student

We are very lucky at St Patrick’s to participate in Resilience Project lessons each week.

The teachers will be looking out for students who are showing signs of resilience inside and outside the classroom.
