Term 4 has very quickly come to a close and has brought our 2024 year to a fantastic end for all of our Junior students. Congratulations to all students for their strong work ethic and participation throughout the year.
A reminder to all parents that Semester Two Reports will be able to be viewed in the last week of school. We strongly encourage all parents and guardians to thoroughly read your child’s report.
Courtesy note to families to please check Compass messages regarding 2025 Booklists and Year 9 Bring Your Own Device in 2025 for details and specifications.
All Junior students will finish off the year with end of year assemblies and their last Impact classes with reflections of their time in 2024 and setting goals for 2025. It is also a time to celebrate student achievement and participation throughout Term 4. We congratulate all students who received Semester 2 Principal awards at our end of year Awards Night and other end of year awards. We also congratulate all students who performed in our Semester 2 Performing Arts music, drama and dance night.
Our revamped end of year activity program will prove to be a great success with our school picnic and Funfields to finish off the year. We also had a huge crowd to watch the end of year Junior School Futsal Grand Final on Tuesday 3rd December. A big thanks to Mr Lyras for organising the Futsal lunchtime competition. We thank all staff for their excellent organisation of all their clubs and end of year activities, and to all staff and students for their wonderful support and participation in the activities.
Our incoming Year 7’s recently attended both our Information night and had a very successful Orientation Day, experiencing a variety of classes, a Performing Arts concert, tour of the school and some ice breaker activities to get to know other students. Well done to all of our new Year 7 students for starting their transition in such a positive way. We look forward to more fantastic transition experiences including our Day 1 amazing race and Camp in Week 3.
The Junior School would like to thank all staff for working and supporting all of our Year 7 and Year 8 students throughout the year. We wish all staff leaving Reservoir High School the very best and thank them for the wonderful service to our Junior students. We also say farewell to a number of students who leave us for other schools and we wish them the very best with all of their future pursuits.
In 2025, we welcome Mrs Kathleen Pryor who is returning from Maternity Leave and will be the Junior School Leader. A huge thank you to Tammy Baines who will concentrate on her new position as International Student Coordinator. Tammy has been the Junior School office manager since 2013 and has been an amazing and integral link to the Junior School and we thank her greatly and wish her the very best in her new position.
Mrs Fyda Khalil will continue to be the Junior School Office manager, Mr James Rubira (Yr 7 Student Engagement Coordinator) and Mr Braeden Mueller-Knelange (Yr 8 Student Engagement Coordinator).
On behalf of the Junior school team we would like to wish all of our students and their families a wonderful Christmas and holiday season. The Junior School look forward to an exciting and very rewarding school year in 2025.
