CELEBRATING 20 YEAR PARTNERSHIP WITH CAMP AUSTRALIA

Last week we celebrated the arrival of our new Buddy Bench, a commemorative gift from Camp Australia in honor of our 20-year partnership with our OSH Care provider. This collaboration has been instrumental in nurturing the care, growth, and development of our students, reflecting our shared commitment to their well-being.

The Buddy Bench carries a profound story. It was meticulously handcrafted by Neil and his colleagues at the St Andrews Men’s Shed, an organization established after the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires to support local men through community projects. The timber used for the bench was repurposed from a tree felled during those devastating fires, symbolizing resilience and renewal. We are honored to integrate this piece of history into our school grounds, providing a place where future friendships can flourish.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Camp Australia’s CEO, Warren Jacobson, for traveling from Sydney to join us for this special occasion. We also acknowledge the efforts of our Camp Australia Relationships Manager, Karen, for orchestrating the creation of the Buddy Bench.

This bench is more than just a seat; it embodies the strength of community partnerships and serves as a lasting reminder of our collective journey.
