Next “Parent Potter in POPS Garden” will be Friday 29th November 9
10:30am. 🌱 🌺 🍅 🥒 🪴
BYO coffee and join us in the POPS Sustainability Garden for a little blitz. Guaranteed fun, laughter and banter. Whether you don’t know the difference between a plant and a weed or you’re an experienced gardener, it’s a great opportunity to connect with other POPS parents and learn a thing or two about sustainable gardening and help upkeep our school garden for the best experience for our kids.
Specific jobs for this blitz will include:
- Digging out sad dirt from some garden beds.
- Filling garden beds with compost
- Laying cardboard on walkways and then covering with mulch (to suppress weeds)
- pruning and removing unruly shrubbery
- adhoc weeding and tidying
The school has tools and gloves available but feel free to bring your own shovel for this one as we’re expecting a great turnout and many hands make light work.
No need to RSVP. If you can’t make this blitz but would like to be on the list for the next one or have any capacity for building and repairs or contacts for garden supplies please send your availability through via text to Emma Bannan (mum of Lottie in Grade 2) via 0423713969.
We are looking for families to sign up each week (including the school holidays) to help with food and water, plus take home any eggs you collect! Please check for the roster at
https://myschoolvolunteer.com.au/signup-event/chook-roster/ and sign up for a week or two.
The main jobs include;
