CURRICULUM FOCUS

We are learning to use additional strategies to solve problems.

I can represent the problem. (pictures, symbols, sentences).

I can use counting on strategy.

 8 + 3 = 8 , 9 , 10, 11 (start at bigger number).

I can use partitioning (or part part whole relationships).

for example, 8 and 6 is the same as 8 and 2 and 4.

I can explain how I solved the problem and justify that I used an effective strategy.
