I can infer characters traits and feelings using clues in the text.

VOCABULARY

Character Traits

A combination of different feelings, thoughts and actions that make the character who they are. 

 

Internal Features (inside)

Describes the character's personality. Tells us more about how the character thinks and the way they act. 

 

External features (outside)

Describes how the character looks. Helps us visualise what they look like (height, hair colour, eye colour etc.)

Students describe some of the character traits (internal and external) of this character. 

 

Students talk about looks (how does the character look?), actions (what are they doing?), feelings (how do they feel?).
