Bridgebuilders
During term 3, eight year 5 students were selected to take part in the Bridgebuilders Program. This program was designed by Wayne Dyson from a company called Bridgeworks to connect generations together.
The students met with residents from AVEO for 2 hours each Wednesday for 4 weeks where they play games and took part in great activities to encourage communication.
As this was a pilot program, the students and residents were filmed to create some trailers. They are a great representation of the program, and the strong relationships formed within the time spent together.
This term we enjoyed a Bridgebuilders reunion, where the residents visited Le Page PS to share an afternoon tea, have tour and watch the trailers with the students. It was a wonderful celebration!
We are looking forward to inviting the Bridgebuilders program back to Le Page PS next year!
