Amazing 5/6
Term 4 Week 8
What have we been up to?
As we near the end of the year, I want to take a moment to acknowledge how much you’ve all achieved. Your hard work, resilience, and commitment over these last few weeks—especially with major projects and testing—have been truly impressive. I know it hasn’t always been easy, but you've handled it with great determination, and I’m so proud of each and every one of you. Well done!
As we move toward the finish line, it’s natural to feel a bit tired, but this is also a great opportunity to remind ourselves of the importance of kindness and respect. These are the qualities that make our community special, and by continuing to support each other, we can ensure that our last few weeks together are enjoyable for everyone.
Let’s focus on ending the year on a high note by showing our best selves—lifting each other up, being thoughtful, and staying positive. By doing so, we can make the most of the celebrations and events that lie ahead.
I’m excited to share these last weeks with you and celebrate all the amazing things we’ve accomplished together! Not long until we say goodbye to our amazing year 6's as we prepare for graduation and they make way for our 2025 new leaders.
Just a reminder of the dates for the last few events of the year:
Year 6 Big Day Out - Thursday the 12th of December
Year ⅚ Big Ride Out - Friday the 13th of December
Year 6 Graduation - Monday the 16th of December
Student Report:
I’m Nik and I am a leader in sport. Hi, I’m Daniel and I am also a leader in sport.
This week, in 5/6C in literacy we have been learning about persuasive writing. Right now we are learning about the Great Barrier Reef and why we should protect it. One of the reasons is; It is the biggest living organism of coral that is able to be seen from outer space. Today we presented speeches to our respective classes on why we should come together and save the GBR. Fun fact; did you know that the Great Barrier Reef is home to 1,5000+ species of fish.
In Inquiry, we have been working on our Space expo projects. Daniel is working on supernovas and stars. And Nik is learning about Neptune, the eighth planet from the sun. We have been working on them for a few weeks now and we are presenting them in the Week 9 Space Expo.
Last week in Bike Ed, we went on a ride to Karkarook Park. I enjoyed it but the hardest part of the ride was riding in the 35 degree heat on a bike that is older than the ruins of Pompeii.
Graduation is coming up, the year 6’s are looking forward to it.
Thank you for listening, And have a great weekend
