What a wonderful year it has been at DPS! I can't believe it is already the end of Term 4, and the end of another year. As always, it has been an extremely busy but successful one.
Over the last few weeks students have had many exciting and celebratory moments to finish up the year; Fun Day, Level 6 Graduation, Meet the Teacher Day, Class Parties and the Christmas Concert to name a few.
I have asked the students what they have enjoyed most this year, see below for the responses received. Students sure have loved the sporty elements of the year!
Yzzy PM – I loved Kew Traffic School because it helped me learn a bit more about bicycles. I used to be on my training wheels but now I am not.
Lucas 1M – I have loved playing tennis. Tennis is my favourite sport, and I like playing with the racquet and ball. I get to play every Friday at lunchtime.
Michael 2S – My highlight of the year was Athletics Day. I really liked the running, and I did really well.
Eshan 3B – The Fun Day was the best day of the year because we got to go to the movies, and we had icy poles. I had such a fun time with my friends.
Maya 4S – The highlight of my year has been the cross-country event. I made it through to division! I really like it because every year I can see my improvements and also things I can still improve on.
Aneeqa 5K - My favourite things this year were Art and PE classes. I love drawing and painting and being creative. I also really loved learning to play basketball in PE.
Jeremy 6S - My highlight of this year was cooking at Doncaster Secondary College. It was really fun doing something I have never done before, working with people I don't normally work with and the food was delicious, we made lasagne soup and muffins.
I would like to take this chance to say thank you to all the students, staff, families and friends of DPS for a wonderful 2025. I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday and an enjoyable start to 2025.
To the Level 6 students, thank you for all of your hard work, friendly attitude and determination to be your best. We will miss you at DPS, but look forward to seeing you when you come back and visit very soon!
