Term 4

What an amazing final term of 2024 to wrap up the year. This term we learned all about physics and forces. The prep and level one students learnt all about pushing and pulling, how we define them, and how we can use forces in our everyday life. The level 2 students explored sound energy, experimenting with instruments and learning how animals can see by using their hearing, through echolocation. The level 3 students investigated heat energy, how it can be created and transferred from object to object. The level 4 students looked into a variety of different forces, experimenting with gravity, magnets, air resistance and friction. The level 5 students have been studying the movement of light, they have learnt all about the visible light spectrum, how light interacts with the world around them and how light can be used in technology. The level 6 students got hands -on experience with electricity, creating circuits, learning how electricity can be created and used to power a variety of devices. Throughout the term all year levels also had a lot of fun using our Lego Spike kits, creating fun dioramas and solving problems using engineering.
