Performing Arts Highlights!

 Year Prep Community

The Prep Communities have continued to participate in a range of drama lessons for Performing Arts. Students have been learning to express a story narrated by the teacher by using their voice, movement and facial expression to communicate to an audience in response to the different stories. They have begun to identify elements of a fairy tale and act out the different characters through role-play and puppetry. 

Year 1/2 Community  

The Year 1/2 Communities have continued to develop their acting skills to perform drama in Performing Arts. Students have been learning to take part in the story building process by collaborating as a class to devise and establish a setting, character, plot and resolution in response to a given stimulus. They used improvisation to role-play the acting journey and watch back their performance to reflect on their use of expressive speech and movement to match their character in the given scenario.    

Choir

The Choir students are continuing to develop their voice techniques and express their character for the two songs that will feature at one of our last school Assembly's. Students will be singing a farewell graduation to the Year 6 students song called, 'Count on Me' by Bruno Mars, as well as, 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas' with choreography to farewell the staff and students.
