It has been a vibrant and rewarding season for Sports and PE at Christway College, with students across both Primary and Secondary achieving fantastic results and embracing every opportunity to grow and excel.
In Secondary Sport, our volleyball teams showcased outstanding dedication and teamwork at the recent CSEN AFL Championships. All three teams performed strongly, with the Senior Girls and Junior Boys both securing second place, and the Junior Girls finishing a commendable fourth. Their success reflects the hard work they have put into training, supported by the valuable experience of working with specialist Volleyball coaches during Term 3 PE lessons.

Our Year 9 students had also actively prepared for the Year of Challenge Bike Ride by attending spin classes, showing great enthusiasm and commitment to their fitness goals.

Athletics has been another highlight, with three Secondary students bringing home medals:
Reet Bhavsar – Silver in Shot Put
Alexander Hala – Silver in Shot Put
Viraj Singh Kharb – Bronze in the 200m
Their determination and perseverance were inspiring, and we’re thrilled to see their efforts recognised.

In the Primary School, our young athletes have also shone brightly. Six students advanced to the second round of Athletics competition, with Butoto Hamu going one step further to qualify for the regional level – a tremendous achievement!

We are incredibly proud of all our students, not just for their impressive results, but for the spirit, sportsmanship, and joy they bring to each sporting opportunity. Sports and PE continue to be a cornerstone of life at Christway College – where success is celebrated, and every student is encouraged to grow, work as a team, and give their best.
