We’re now well into the term, and it’s been fantastic to see so much great learning happening in our classrooms! Our school fete is just around the corner, and a huge thank you to all the parents who are putting in so much time and energy to make it such a special day. Just a reminder that children won’t be at school this Friday, 31st October, or Monday, 3rd of November, with Tuesday being a public holiday as well. Enjoy the long weekend!
We would like to farewell Annalise, who has been an incredible part of our school community since June 2022. Both teachers and families have greatly valued her dedication and support for our students, and she will be sorely missed. We wish Annalise all the very best as she embarks on an exciting new opportunity at a school closer to home. Thank you for everything you’ve contributed to our school!
On Thursday, four of our Year 6 students took part in the Northcote Public Speaking Competition. They represented our school with great poise and demonstrated our school values throughout their speeches. The students should be very proud of their efforts! A big thank you also goes to Brad and Refi for their support in organising and helping the students prepare for this event.
We’d love your help in spreading the word about our upcoming 150th anniversary celebration! We are planning to open a time capsule created by our students 25 years ago, and it would be incredible to have past students who contributed to the capsule join us and share their memories and insights. If you know any former students who might like to be part of this special event, please encourage them to come along. It’s sure to be a memorable celebration of our school’s rich history!
A huge well done to our Year 3/4 campers last week, who showed true resilience while braving the elements at Ferntree Gully Lodge! Despite the weather, everyone had an amazing time exploring, learning, and making memories together. A big shout-out to the Year 3/4 teachers for organising such a fun and adventurous camp, and to the parents who volunteered — your support made the experience even more special.
Have a great week,
Joe.
