Trafalgar Bowls Their Way to 3rd at Regionals! 🥉

Congratulations to our Trafalgar Primary School Lawn Bowls team, who represented the school proudly at the Gippsland Regional Lawn Bowls competition on Friday 24 October at the Traralgon Bowls Club.

After a weather-related reschedule, our students showed great adaptability, teamwork, and composure on the green. Competing against the best schools from across the Gippsland region, the team performed superbly throughout the day—earning a 3rd place finish overall!

This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the group’s sportsmanship, focus, and positive attitude. Congratulations to all team members for their excellent effort and for continuing to showcase Trafalgar’s commitment to participation, teamwork, and respect in school sport.

Grades 4 and 5 - Tower Building Challenge

The grade 5s have been learning all about how things are built around the world. Last week, they learned about how skyscrapers are built. They tested some of their knowledge by trying the Tower Building Challenge. They worked in groups and had 20 minutes to build the tallest, strongest tower they could that could hold a can of beans for at least 60 seconds without falling over or collapsing. The towers they built were fabulous and many of them completed the challenge really well!!! Take a look at some of the towers they built.

Lunchtime Clubs Launch into Action!

In Term 4, Week 2, we kicked off our new schedule of lunchtime clubs whilst continuing to offer our popular ongoing activities in STEM, Music, and the Library.

So far, our clubs have been a great success! We’ve had more than 25 students attending both Craft and Connect on Mondays and Lego Fun Club on Wednesdays. Book Club launched with When the Crayons Quit, where students enjoyed listening to the story, engaging in discussion, and completing a related colouring activity.

This week, we added a fun Halloween theme to our Craft and Book Clubs — lots of creativity and laughter all around!

To help these clubs continue, we’d greatly appreciate any donations of craft supplies or spare Lego/Duplo that families may have at home.

If you’re able to contribute, please contact me at emma.semaan@education.vic.gov.au to arrange drop-off or collection.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Breakfast Club

It has been wonderful to welcome students and families back to Breakfast Club this term!  We have had so many students visit us in the mornings for delicious toasties, cereals and hot milos to help kick start their learning day.  We are so thankful for the many generous food donations provided by the community and from our sponsors - Foodbank, IGA Trafalgar, Bakers Delight Mid Valley and Gracie’s Bakery.
