Leadership Communication
My Lord and My God
Dear Families,
As we move toward the middle of the term, there’s a strong sense of focus across St Thomas the Apostle. Classrooms are settled, students are engaged, and teachers are continuing to build on the great start to the term.
Over the coming weeks, teachers will begin gathering evidence of student learning through a range of assessments - tasks, discussions, observations and reflections that show what each child knows, can do, and where they’re ready to go next. This information helps us plan targeted teaching and ensure every learner continues to grow.
Our focus remains on keeping learning purposeful right through the term. Every lesson matters. The effort and engagement students show now make a real difference to their confidence and achievement.
At St Thomas, we believe that strong partnerships between school and home enable learning. When schools and families work together, children thrive. We encourage you to stay connected - reach out to your child’s teacher if you’d like to discuss their learning, and we’ll continue to share updates and celebrate progress along the way.
Together, we can make this mid-term stretch a time of growth, connection and pride for every learner.
Enjoy your weekend,
Peta Overbury
