Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden 

In kitchen classes over the past fortnight, Grade 3s and 4s had their focus on making different varieties of toasties. We have been using electric toaster makers and an electric frypan. Emphasis has been made on safety around hot electrical appliances. Ask your child which toastie was their favourite!

 We made French toast, banana roll ups, strawberry cream roll ups and mild curried tuna , spinach and cheese toasties.

 

In garden classes students have continued to care for the chickens. Students worked together, cleaning out the shed, digging up the chook run, and shovelling organic matter full of excellent properties for our vegetable garden. We have planted, kale, broccoli and cauliflower seedlings. Chop and chat continues to be a great task. Well done to all for your busy efforts! Our vegetable garden will produce organic vegetables to be harvested for our kitchen classes.
