Grade 5 and 6

💐 Mother's Day

What a joy it was to see everyone celebrating our beautiful mums and special people at our Mother's Day morning. It was wonderful to see how each child pampered their mum/special person and the gorgeous conversations the activities prompted them to have. We are so grateful to Mrs Goodwin for organising such a wonderful event!

CBL

Another glorious day was had down at Clifford Park for our students. It was a day bathed in sunshine and a perfect setting for learning about the Wurundjeri culture and traditions. Students were immersed in language, seasons, games, art, songlines and plant uses

Intra and Inter Personal Learning

In Friendology we have been revisiting healthy friendships and how to resolve conflicts.

In Respectful Relationships  we are working positive gender relationships and introducing the concept of positive self talk and understanding power relationships

and in Cybersafety we have been looking at seeking help

Premier's Reading Challenge

This week you will receive the information for the Premier's Reading Challenge for 2024. Your child will have their own log in details and information on how to register and log the details of books read.

Interschool Sports

This program continues to be a highlight with so many students. It is incredibly rewarding to see the students demonstrating sportsmanship, with their own team mates as well as those from the opposite team, resilience in the face of defeat and a positive attitude to always try their best.

GRADE 6 SPECIAL EVENT

🧸 Teddy Bear Picnic

After receiving hand-written and personally created invitations to the Preps Teddy Bear picnic on Thursday 23rd May, the Grade 6s arrived with teddies in-hand and full of excitement to share some quality time and delicious food with their buddies. The last of the autumn sunshine dappled through the leaves underneath the Oak Tree and the chatter was as loud as a bunch of cockatoos. Congratulations to the Prep families for the delicious and creative lunches which was sent along that day.
