Prep Performances
The Preps have been working diligently, preparing and rehearsing for their very first performances in Performing Arts.
Black light theatre or simply black theatre, is a theatrical performance style characterised by a darkened stage, and "black lighting" (UV light), paired with fluorescent costumes, props or puppets in order to create intricate visual illusions.
The students have been practicing the skills of using a big, clear speaking voice (voice projection and articulation) and learning to manipulate their props whilst recounting a nursery rhyme.
The Prep students will be presenting their Black Light Theatre performances next week, during Performing Arts lessons.
Parents are welcome to attend these performances. Please ensure you drop into the General Office to sign in upon your arrival, then make your way to the Performing Arts room.
Performance days and times are as follows:
Wednesday 5th June
Prep A 2.00pm – 2.30pm
Prep D 2.50pm – 3.20pm
Thursday 6th June
Prep B 2.00pm – 2.30pm
Prep C 2.50pm – 3.20pm
For parents that cannot attend, performances will be filmed and the footage shared with families at a later date.
