Hello, from Carolyn.
Respect, responsibility and kindness
Hello everyone,
What a lovely afternoon we had on Monday with lots of special visitors in our classrooms and plenty of people staying to enjoy our BBQ, organised by our amazing Parents and Friends group. Thank you all for coming along, our students love any opportunity to have one or two of their special people in their classroom with them for some fun learning.
School tours.
Our school captains, Audrey and Russell, helped me to host a school tour on Wednesday morning. It was great to have quite a number of new and current families attend. It's not just our students who love an opportunity to show off our school, I also love it! It is such a pleasure to show visitors around our learning space and to see how impressed they are at our calm learning spaces, the range of programs and supports we offer to our students and the settled, happy children working hard to achieve their best.
If you know of anyone who is in our school zone and is interested in booking a school tour, please ask them to contact the office.
Uniform expectations.
Our school has a uniform policy and our expectation is that all our students will wear correct, neat and tidy school uniform every day. We have lovely warm school uniform jackets and jumpers for our students to wear as the weather gets colder. Students can bring a coat to wear outside if it is extra cold.
Hoodies are not part of our school uniform. Unfortunately we have a small number of students who are choosing to wear a hoodie to school and then being rude to staff who are asking them to put their hoodie in their school bag and come and choose a school jumper/jacket from our second hand uniform supplies to wear for the day.
One of our school expectations is to show respect by wearing our uniform and looking after our uniform. You can help us to reinforce this expectation by ensuring your child is in correct uniform each day. If they need a school jacket/jumper, please call in to the office to check our second hand uniform supplies, or a new jacket/jumper can be purchased from Noone, our uniform supplier.
Students who wear a hoodie to school will be asked to put it in their bag and to choose a second hand item to wear for the day.
Thank you for supporting our school uniform policy.
Our expected behaviours at Bendigo PS.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Warm regards,
Carolyn.
