Let's move more in 2024!
Last Friday (10/5) , 49 students from OHR competed in the North Balwyn District Cross Country at Macleay Park. Thie distances ran for each age group were:
9/10 years (2km)
11 years (3km)
12/13 years (3km)
As a school, OHR was able to finish 4th in the small schools section. This was great but even more pleasing was the effort every student put in during their race as well as in supporting their teammates as they ran.
Besides representing our school, students are also aiming to finish in the Top 15 which will see them progress to the Division Cross Country on Monday 27th May. Congratulations to the following students who were able to progress through to the Division Cross Country, we wish them the very best of luck.
James B (9/10 Boys)
Hayley W & Emily B (9/10 Girls)
Jacob Y and Henry C (11 Boys)
Art T & James N (12/13 Boys)
Our Grade 3/4 students will be participating in the Grade 3/4 Footy Day on THURSDAY 23rd May at the Gordon Barnard Reserve, North Balwyn.
We will enter 3 x boys teams and 2 x girls teams.
We are doing some training during our fitness sessions at school.
It is AFL 9's and is non tackle.
The 1st year "Bachelor of HPE" students from Deakin are at Our Holy Redeemer teaching our Thursday morning classes over the next couple of weeks.
We welcome them to our school and our students are enjoying learning lots of skills.
