From the Principal
As we reach the midpoint in the term, our students continue to be involved in a range of events, sporting activities and competitions, and we are excited to bring you an issue that celebrates many of the things that have happened over the last fortnight.
Last week our Year 9s that are completing their City School elective spent time in the City undertaking their research for their inquiry project. I look forward to hearing what they are investigations and the outcomes that they have achieved towards the end of the Semester.
A big thanks to the families that have already bought tickets to our first Friends of Northcote Event for the year. The Movie, Radical, is educationally themed so it may start some conversations about school and engagment. They have already sold enough tickets to warrant a larger theatre so there will be plenty of space available for those that wish to attend.
Next Wednesday is a shortened day for students as our Course Selection Expo runs onsite in the afternoon and evening. This event marks the commencement of Course Counselling for our current Year 8-11 students in selecting their 2025 courses. It is an important and exciting time for students to consider their future learning and pathways. There are some new and updated subjects that have been created by our faculty teams to engage students in their learning. Please remember to sign up for the Year Level information sessions if you wish to attend.
COVIDSafe measures are still in place in all schools and remain the same as those communicated over the past year. With the colder weather now with us, we have started to see more disruptions as staff and students are required to isolate. Thank you for your ongoing support in reminding your children about implementing COVIDSafe measures both at school and in other settings. In this issue you will find a reminder from the Department about being COVID as well as Flu safe.
